USA junior girls

Rohre Titcomb of Team USA throwing against the zone.

Profile

Team USA’s roster is filled with 18 of the best high school and 1st-year college players from around the United States. With more than 300 college and high school women’s teams to draw from, the United States’ squad certainly has the depth and ability to overpower the rest of the Juniors field.

The USA’s initial ranking is 4th overall. Not able to defend their 2000 title at the last World Juniors Championships in 2002, Coaches John Sandahl (Minneapolis, MN) and Vida Towne (Seattle, WA) look to add a little gold to their red, white and blue in 2004.

USA on Offense

Look for these players when Team USA has the disc:

Rohre Titcomb (#16) has been touted as the best player of her age in the world.  Titcomb and Kayla Burnim (# 14) should combine for a majority of Team USA’s scoring assists.

Lillian Berla (# 85) and Southey Saul (# 22) are solid offensive weapons; look for Saul reeling the disc in long.

USA on Defense

Look for these players when the opponent has the disc:

All-around defensive players Emily Baecher (# 23), and Leila Tunnell (# 18) who plays for Atlanta’s club women’s team Ozone.
