Switzerland mixed

Profile

There is no Mixed division in Switzerland, but there isn't a Women’s division either and that's what makes the Mixed team so tough. They are able to get some of the best female players to compete.

Most of this team originates with the Swiss Fingers, a traveling Mixed team that has been around for four years with good success in international competition. The Fingers finished 12th out of 40 teams at the World Club Championships in Hawaii 2002 and Team Switzerland made the semifinals of the 2003 EUC.

This is a big team roster for Switzerland, so they will be rested late in the tournament, but may have team chemistry problems early.

One of Switzerland's stronger female players, Sibel Blatter, will not be at Worlds this year but Sibel's half-cousin's Uncle twice removed, Sepp Blatter of FIFA, will be in attendance, herding the rowdies, rude boys and hooligans.

Christine Fankhauser, #4 a playmaker who is always around the disc.
