Great Britain masters

Profile
The ol’ British bastards may have given half
of Europe to the Nazis, lost India to a massive karmic debt and
managed the American colony so badly that the French can lay claim
to ghostwriting its Constitution but they did win the European
Championships in 2003.
Great Britain was first introduced to Ultimate
in the late 70s so you can bet they have some true masters besides
the 30-year old patsies who call themselves too old to compete in
the Open division.
This particular team won the 2003 EUC but
there were no representatives from the Scandinavian countries
(Sweden and Finland in particular) so it is hard to say how good
Great Britain may be.
“Yes we did win EUC last year. We've added
quite a few players since then, however, and the team is quite a
bit stronger,’ says team captain Roger Thomson
“One of the Florida guys, Garret Crosbie,
lived in London and played for the local team Shotgun Wedding with
a couple of our guys,” says Thomson. “So it'll certainly be
interesting matching up against them. We're looking forward to
sharing a few beers afterward, that's for sure.”
Associated Club Teams
over 8 different UK club teams represented.

Most of us went to Hawaii 02 with our club

more. We have several cupboards full of player packs but very few
medals!
