Great Britain junior women

Profile
GB Junior Women played their first ever
international tournament at the European Junior Women's
Championship in 2003 in Estonia, coming 4th and winning Spirit.
Only 3 of last year's squad can make it to Finland, Louise Kittow,
Sarah Dawson and Hannah Parry, but what the team lacks in
experience, it makes up for in energy, enthusiasm and a
determination to have a good time. (Incidentally, Sarah and Hannah
are the youngest players on the team at 16, definitely two to look
out for in the future.)
Great Britain has between 15 and 20 Junior
teams but only one junior women team in the country.
The team is made up of players from all over
Great Britain, and although this is the first year the majority
have played together there is a strong team spirit and plenty of
talent.
Players to be aware of:
Sally Cannon and Jane "GI"
Towey are happy huckers; Olivia Nixson and Natasha
Szczgbwska calm handlers; Samantha "Crumpet" Davies,
Natasha G-B, Sarah Dawson, Julia Noble and
Susanna Wallis enjoy running around lots in the middle;
Lou Kittow and Rachel Kelly are great deep players
(being tall does help); Hannah Parry is a demon on D; and
Ellie Harris, Elaine Macrae and Jo Legg seem
to enjoy playing in the wind and rain and throwing themselves in
the mud at every opportunity. These women are afraid of
nothing.
